The Abruzzo and Molise Regions in Two Minutes
The contiguous regions of Abruzzo and Molise share much in common so we cover them together in this two minute excursion. The two regions are located on the Adriatic Coast just north of Puglia. Abruzzo is much the more well known, thanks in large part to the generously flavored and approachable red wine called Montepulciano d'Abruzzo mad from the Montepulciano grape. You may or may not know that Montepulciano is also a well known town in Tuscany but the grape and the town are totally unrelated. So we have a rare instance when the name is a town, a grape and part of the name of a DOC.
