This course builds upon the course material in Foundations of Wine Studies I, which is a pre-requisite. It picks up where the Level I course left off within each foundational category. The completion of level II will give you a well rounded and firm foundation concerning fine wines on a global scale. Upon successful completion of this course, you will also be ready to embark upon the Xploring Series of Wine Courses that focus on specific Countries and important appellations of origin. All who successfully complete the course will be issued a Certificate of Completion. A Diploma of Excellence is issued to all exam takers who achieve a 90% score on the optional 50 question exam. The exam is timed but unlike the Level I exam, this is a closed book exam, though taken on an honor system. The exam includes 40 multiple choice and fill in the blank questions worth two points each and 4 short answer format questions worth 5 point each. More on the exam will be covered for those who choose to take it. Certificates are emailed and downloadable for those who successfully pass the exam.
