Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to competently select fine wines from America's major wine regions, whether in a restaurant or fine wine shop. The ebook also makes a great quick reference. The course will take the mystery out of the vast majority of American wines and puts the practical ability to select them comfortably in your hands. Some of these wines are hard to come by in many markets and ideally, we would like you to be tasting the same producer and vintage that we are tasting. A certificate of completion is issued to each enrolled student completing the course. An optional exam is offered with everyone scoring 90% or better receiving a Level One Certification in American Wines. This course is an excellent prep class for the Mastering American Wines Course. While not required as a pre-requisite, it is highly recommended as the Mastering American Wine course does reference some of the foundational material in this class and the Foundations courses, that it is assumed you already have mastered. We will not have time to cover any foundational material during this course.
